Students 3 and up from Peninsula Community Youth Orchestra will present their first public End of Year Concert on Monday, May 18th at 4pm at First United Methodist Church in Port Angeles. Admission is free. The program is expected to be under an hour, and naturally, children are welcome.
Students will present their work from various string classes and ensembles held in Port Angeles and Sequim. Very young children between 3 and 6, known as Suzuki Sprouts, have been studying music basics and how to play the violin since January with teacher Christine Faught. Children between 6 and 13 have been studying violin, viola, cello, or bass since September, in beginner or intermediate classes with Jesse Ahmann in Port Angeles and Sara Baldwin in Sequim. An adult beginner violin lab class that began in January with Christine Faught will also present their work.
